RESEARCH

FTAC incorporates audit and research into its operations. It aims to improve its effectiveness through evaluating the outcomes of its interventions, both in terms of medical care and preventing further harassment. In addition, examinations of association between risk factors and outcome will improve the efficacy of its risk assessment procedures.

FTAC aims to publish its findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and through the popular press.

Two research projects are nearing completion:-

  1. A survey of the experience of Members of Parliament of harassment, threats and attack.
  2. A follow-up of a cohort of 100 FTAC cases.
